Enjoy the Yard and Deck All Year Round
Sitting on the sunporch, you can enjoy the same view as from the kitchen/sitting area. In the early summer, the field fills with lupine in purple, pink, and white. These not only are beautiful, but smell heavenly in bouquets. Help yourself!
There's even a beautiful view from the kitchen and bedroom in the winter. The sun on the mist here on a cold winter morning makes the ice look luminous.
As summer progresses, the perennials come into full bloom. I've planted lilies, echinacea, irises, azaleas, and many other plants for you to enjoy. You might even see a moose as you sit on the deck! This young moose was photographed by Gary Godish in 2006 right in my back yard.
Hostas and tall phlox blanket the front of the house in the shade garden. Wild roses are abundant on the property. These were transplanted from my grandmother's garden many years ago.
Couldn't you just sit and relax all day?
